24 Jul 2015TL;DR: In this paper, an apparatus and method for over-rating a wind turbine using turbulence prediction is disclosed, where weather forecast information is used to determine whether there is a risk of turbulent conditions occurring at the site of the wind turbine.
Abstract: An apparatus and method is disclosed for over-rating a wind turbine using turbulence prediction Weather forecast information is used to determine whether there is a risk of turbulent conditions occurring at the site of the wind turbine The wind turbine is over-rated if turbulent conditions are not predicted, and conversely over-rating is cancelled or reduced if turbulent conditions are expected This allows an increase in the annual energy production of the wind turbine to be realised The weather forecast information may be combined with real time measurements of operating conditions to supplement the predictions

15 Jan 2008TL;DR: In this paper, a system for scheduling maintenance of a component in a wind turbine was proposed, where the system receives signals from each of the wind turbines in a population of wind turbines.
Abstract: A system for scheduling maintenance of a component in a wind turbine. The system receives signals from each of the wind turbines in a population of wind turbines. From the signals, the system detects a failure of the component in one of the wind turbine. In response to the detect failure, the system calculates a new life value for the component. The life value is then compared to a threshold value. If the life value is within a specified parameter compared to the threshold value, the system schedules a change of the component in all of the wind turbines in the population.

29 Jun 2007TL;DR: In this paper, a handling system for a wind turbine nacelle (3) in connection with selfloading or self-unloading of the nacelles to or from a vehicle is described.
Abstract: A handling system (11) for a wind turbine nacelle (3) in connection with self-loading or self -unloading of the nacelle (3) to or from a vehicle. The system (11) comprises two or more lifting means (15, 16) for displacing the nacelle (3) substantially vertically during the self-loading or self -unloading of the nacelle (3). The lifting means (15, 16) further comprises displacing means (28) for displacing the lifting means (15, 16) or apart of the lifting means (15, 16). Furthermore a method for transport of a wind turbine nacelle (3), a method for vertical displacement of a wind turbine nacelle (3) and use of a handling system (11) are disclosed.

TL;DR: In this article, a method of establishing a profitability model for use in the establishment of a wind power plant, the method including the steps of: establishing wind power-plant-related data related to a scenario; calculating the profitability of the wind power plants by using a data processing system, by making use of wind power related data such as solution parameters and financing parameters, in relation to at least one scenario.
Abstract: A method of establishing a profitability model for use in the establishment of a wind power plant, the method including the steps of: establishing wind power plant-related data related to a scenario; calculating the profitability of the wind power plant by using a data processing system, by making use of the wind power-related data such as solution parameters and financing parameters, in relation to at least one scenario; and presenting a profitability model related to establishing a wind power plant based on the scenario and the calculated profitability using data processing system. Benefits of this profitability model minimizes risk and improves the basis for decision regarding the establishment of a wind power plant.
