A compressive MUSIC spectral approach for identification of closely-spaced structural natural frequencies and post-earthquake damage detection

TLDR
Results suggest that the adopted approach for identifying resonant frequencies of white-noise excited structures using acceleration measurements acquired at rates significantly below the Nyquist rate is robust and noise-immune while it can reduce data transmission requirements in acceleration wireless sensors for natural frequency identification and damage detection in engineering structures.

Sparse Sensing With Co-Prime Samplers and Arrays

TL;DR: This paper considers the sampling of temporal or spatial wide sense stationary (WSS) signals using a co-prime pair of sparse samplers and shows that the co-array based method for estimating sinusoids in noise offers many advantages over methods based on the use of Chinese remainder theorem and its extensions.

Reinforced Concrete response to simulated earthquakes

TL;DR: In this article, a model for predicting the dynamic response of a reinforced concrete member was proposed based on a static force-displacement relationship which reflected the changes in stiffness for loading and unloading as a function of the previous loading history.

Random Vibration of Mechanical and Structural Systems

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors address random vibration of mechanical and structural systems commonly encountered in aerospace, mechanical and civil engineering and propose techniques for determining probabilistic characteristics of the response of dynamic systems subjected to random loads or inputs and for calculating probabilities related to system performance or reliability.
