TLDR
In this paper, the relationship between the environmentally relevant physical chemical properties of polychlorinated biphenyls, namely, aqueous solubility, vapor pressure, Henry's law constant, and octanol-water partition coefficient are discussed.Abstract:
Relationships between the environmentally relevant physical chemical properties of the polychlorinated biphenyls, namely, aqueous solubility, vapor pressure, Henry’s law constant, and octanol–water partition coefficient are discussed. Reported experimental data are tabulated and critically reviewed. Recommended values are given for 42 of the 209 congeners; however, procedures are suggested for estimating the properties of the other congeners. Properties of mixtures are not treated.read more

TL;DR: According to Henry's law, the equilibrium ratio between the abundances in the gas phase and in the aqueous phase is constant for a dilute solution as discussed by the authors, and a compilation of 17 350 values of Henry's Law constants for 4632 species, collected from 689 references is available at http://wwwhenrys-law.org

Semipermeable membrane devices containing model lipid: A new approach to monitoring the bioavaiiability of lipophilic contaminants and estimating their bioconcentration potential
TL;DR: In this paper, low-density polyethylene tubing containing thin films of model lipid may simulate the bioconcentration of nonpolar organic contaminants by aquatic organisms, and the feasibility of the SPMD approach for in situ monitoring of environmental contaminants is demonstrated by exposing SPMDs to AsanaR (an isomer of fenvalerate) in a littoral enclosure of a small pond.

TL;DR: In this paper, the most significant factor influencing HLC values for a particular compound is temperature, where other parameters (pH, compound hydration, compound concentration, complex mixtures, dissolved salts, suspended solids, dissolved natural organic material [DOM], surfactants, and natural water sample composition) may also significantly affect HLC value.
