TLDR
In this article, a new dynamic model is introduced for motion of the part under the effect of base excitation which is moving on or separating from a 3D spiral track, and different scenarios which may occur due to the interaction of a part and the track such as sliding and hopping are predicted.

Investigation of the vibrating feeding system for sphericity separation of coated fuel particles using DEM

TL;DR: In this paper, a vibrating feeding system composed of a hopper and a new designed multi-layer multi-channel feeder is proposed to increase the discharge rate, optimize the uniformity of particle distribution and reduce the particle velocity near the outlet, which can produce a better separation of odd fuel particles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamics of part motion on a linear vibratory feeder

TL;DR: In this article, the conveying surface or track is modelled by a bilinear model and the motion of a part on a curved surface mounted upon a linear vibratory feeder is analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design and Fabrication of Step Feeder automation Machine for the Automobile Steering Ball joints

TL;DR: In this paper, an automation solution of feed ball joints for an automotive industry when the vehicle gathers the steering assembly was provided. But, the ball joint is such a large component and should need a certain interval to feed it correctly as required.
Journal ArticleDOI

Part dynamics in the intermediate regime of a linear vibratory feeder

TL;DR: In this article , a mathematical model was developed that can predict the trend in conveying velocity in linear vibratory feeder in three distinct regimes, sliding, hopping and a combination of these two.

A systems model and simulation of the vibratory bowl feeder

TL;DR: In this paper, a mathematical model of a bowl feeder was developed by using state-space methods to evaluate bowl-feeder parameters, and a computer simulation can predict the velocity of the parts in the bowl and subsequently the part feed rate.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the conveying velocity of a vibratory feeder

TL;DR: In this paper, a theoretical analysis of vibratory feeding on a track vibrating with simple harmonic motion and incorporating the possible states of body motion is presented, where states of motion cover both the contact and non-contact states, and each state of motion is considered separately when determining the equations of motion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Trap Design for Vibratory Bowl Feeders

TL;DR: A class of vibratory bowl filters that can be described by removing polygonal sections from the track are considered, referred to as traps, which will filter out all but one of the different stable orientations of a given part.

Analysis of part motion on a longitudinally vibrating plate

TL;DR: Analysis of the dynamics of part motion for a novel type of planar parts feeder consisting of a longitudinally vibrating flat plate and a part placed on its surface shows that the part behaves as if it were immersed in a forward moving viscous fluid.
