Child-onset systemic lupus erythematosus is associated with a higher incidence of myopericardial manifestations compared to adult-onset disease.

TL;DR: In this article, no population-based estimates of the incidence or risk factors for acute cardiac manifestations in children with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) to guide screening and diagno...

Atrial Fibrillation/flutter Hospitalizations among US Medicaid Recipients with and without Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.

TL;DR: SLE was associated with a doubled rate of hospitalization for AF compared to age- and sex-matched general Medicaid patients, and the risk was 80% higher in a race-adjusted model; however, the AF risk factors HTN and CVD were more prevalent among patients with SLE and accounted for the excess risk.

Myocarditis: Current Trends in Diagnosis and Treatment

TL;DR: Clinical practice guidelines with regard to its evaluation and treatment are lacking because the wide variety of etiologies implicated in myocarditis and its heterogeneous clinical presentations have impeded patient identification and consensus on the most appropriate diagnostic criteria.

TL;DR: Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation is a valuable tool to rescue children with severe cardiorespiratory compromise related to myocarditis and risk factors for in-hospital mortality, including female gender, arrhythmia on extracorp pulmonary oxygenation, and need for dialysis during extracORM oxygenation were associated with increased mortality.
