Separation of carbon dioxide for biogas upgrading to biomethane
TL;DR: In this paper, commercial sorbents such as activated carbon, silica gel and zeolite 13X were also tested at an operating pressure of 2 bar and showed that at this pressure, the CO2 adsorption rate was 0.402 cmL/kg silica sorbent; at 6 bar, this increased to 1.076 cmL CO2/kg Silica gel but at greatly reduced levels of both CH4recovery and CO2 purity.

Pressure swing adsorption
TL;DR: In this paper, a pressure swing adsorption cycle comprised of blowdown, purge, pressurization, feed, pressure equalization and rinse steps provided recovery from an atmospheric air feed, essentially dry and free of carbon dioxide, of a high yield of high purity nitrogen gas and a product gas rich in oxygen.
