Emerging triboelectric nanogenerators for ocean wave energy harvesting: state of the art and future perspectives
Cátia Rodrigues,D. Nunes,Daniel Clemente,N. Mathias,J. M. Correia,Paulo Rosa-Santos,Francisco Taveira-Pinto,Tiago Morais,André Pereira,João Ventura +9 more
TL;DR: TENGs have high potential for numerous maritime applications, ranging from the demand of electronics used for metocean monitoring, signalling and surveillance, to activities such as offshore aquaculture or oil and gas exploration.

Experimental assessment of post-processed kinematic Precise Point Positioning method for structural health monitoring
TL;DR: In this paper, the potential of post-processed kinematic PPP in terms of monitoring dynamic displacement response of a structure has been explored based on free damped oscillation events obtained from a model structure, which is able to vibrate in the fundamental and higher modes of vibration.

Detection of Envisat RA2/ICE-1 retracked radar altimetry bias over the Amazon basin rivers using GPS
Stéphane Calmant,Joecila Santos da Silva,Daniel Medeiros Moreira,Frédérique Seyler,C. K. Shum,Jean François Cretaux,Germinal Gabalda +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the bias of the Envisat ICE-1 retracked altimetry over rivers is found to be 1.044 ± 0.212 m, which is a significant departure from other envisat calibrations.

Absolute Calibration or Validation of the Altimeters on the Sentinel-3A and the Jason-3 over Lake Issykkul (Kyrgyzstan)
Jean-François Crétaux,Muriel Berge-Nguyen,Stéphane Calmant,Nurzat Jamangulova,Rysbek Satylkanov,Florent Lyard,Felix Perosanz,Jacques Verron,Amanda Samine Montazem,Gianfranco Le Guilcher,Delphine Leroux,Joel Barrie,Philippe Maisongrande,Pascal Bonnefond +13 more
TL;DR: The objective of this paper is to calculate the altimeter biases of Jason-3 and Sentinel-3A, both belonging to an operational satellite system which is used for the long-term monitoring of lake level variations, and to evaluate the accuracy of these two altimeters over Lake Issykkul.

Precise point positioning for the efficient and robust analysis of GPS data from large networks
TL;DR: This work determines precise GPS satellite positions and clock corrections from a globally distributed network of GPS receivers, and analysis of data from hundreds to thousands of sites every day with 40-Mflop computers yields results comparable in quality to the simultaneous analysis of all data.
Journal ArticleDOI
Global Mapping Function (GMF): A new empirical mapping function based on numerical weather model data
TL;DR: In this paper, the Global Mapping Function (GMF) was proposed based on data from the global ECMWF numerical weather model and the coefficients of the GMF were obtained from an expansion of the Vienna mapping function (VMF1) parameters into spherical harmonics on a global grid.

ITRF2005 : A new release of the International Terrestrial Reference Frame based on time series of station positions and Earth Orientation Parameters
TL;DR: Altamimi et al. as mentioned in this paper used time series of station positions and daily Earth Orientation Parameters (EOPs) of the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF) to monitor station nonlinear motion and discontinuities and examine the temporal behavior of the frame physical parameters, namely the origin and the scale.

Troposphere mapping functions for GPS and very long baseline interferometry from European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts operational analysis data
TL;DR: In this paper, the b and c coefficients of the continued fraction form for the hydrostatic mapping functions have been determined using the 40 years reanalysis (ERA-40) data of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts for the year 2001, and the updated VMF, based on these new coefficients and called VMF1 hereinafter, yields slightly better baseline length repeatabilities for VLBI data.

Contributions to the theory of atmospheric refraction
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the height integral of the atmospheric refractivity for light, taken from ground level up to the top of the atmosphere, is directly proportional to ground pressure.
