Channel-Dependent Scheduling of Uplink Single Carrier FDMA Systems

TLDR
This work investigates channel-dependent scheduling schemes to achieve multi-user diversity and frequency selective diversity and shows that rate-sum capacity can increase up to 130% for L-FDMA and 40% for I- FDMA relative to static round robin scheduling.

Control channel signaling and acquisition for carrier aggregation

TL;DR: In this article, a method and apparatus for handling a control channel for carrier aggregation in wireless communications is presented, which includes determining which component carrier to listen to, detecting the downlink control channel, processing mapping information related to downlink and uplink transmissions and operating discontinuous reception with respect to carrier aggregation.

Channel-aware scheduling algorithms for SC-FDMA in LTE uplink

TL;DR: Three new channel-aware scheduling algorithms for SC-FDMA are proposed and evaluated in both local and wide area scenarios and outperform the round-robin scheduling in terms of cell spectral efficiency with gains up to 68.8% in wide area environments.

Signaling uplink control information in lte-a

TL;DR: In this paper, a user device can determine whether uplink control information and/or available channels meet certain criteria and determine whether the uplink information should be transmitted on a physical uplink controller channel, a shared channel, or both, based on the criteria.

Multiuser OFDM with adaptive subcarrier, bit, and power allocation

TL;DR: The results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms multiuser OFDM systems with static time-division multiple access (TDMA) or frequency-divisionmultiple access (FDMA) techniques which employ fixed and predetermined time-slot or subcarrier allocation schemes.

Transmit power adaptation for multiuser OFDM systems

TL;DR: A transmit power adaptation method that maximizes the total data rate of multiuser orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems in a downlink transmission and proposes a simple method where users with the best channel gain for each subcarrier are selected and then the transmit power is equally distributed among the subcarriers.

Peak-To-Average Power Ratio of Single Carrier FDMA Signals with Pulse Shaping

TL;DR: This paper analytically derive the time domain SC-FDMA signals and numerically compare PAPR characteristics using the complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF) of P APR, and finds that localized FDMA (LFDMA) has higher PAPr than interleavedFDMA (IFDMA) but somewhat lowerPAPR than OFDMA.
