Computer analysis of rest and exercise electrocardiograms.

TLDR
A modified diagnostic program is used in epidemiology studies, based on combined utilization of ECG and clinical information, and the diagnostic program for interpretation of the exercise ECG is based on vector analysis of the ST-segment waveform.

Recommendations for standardization and specifications in automated electrocardiography: bandwidth and digital signal processing. A report for health professionals by an ad hoc writing group of the Committee on Electrocardiography and Cardiac Electrophysiology of the Council on Clinical Cardiology, American Heart Association.

TL;DR: Technologic advances and published studies point to the need to reevaluate requirements for recording and analysis of electrocardiographic (ECG) data, and high-frequency components and lowamplitude signals in the ECG known primarily to researchers are now regarded with wider interest.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrical imaging of the heart

TL;DR: The motivation for cardiac electrical imaging is discussed, some relevant background electrophysiology is described to indicate how cardiac electrical Imaging can provide information about the heart' s health, and the technical challenges that arise in displaying, representing, and analyzing these image sequences are described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Software QRS detection in ambulatory monitoring--a review.

TL;DR: This review asserts that most one-channel QRS detectors described in the literature can be considered as having the same basic structure and a discussion of some of the current detection schemes is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isointegral analysis of body surface maps: surface distribution and temporal variability in normal subjects.

TL;DR: Time-integral analysis of body surface potential mapping is a practical method for data reduction that holds considerable promise as a technique to rapidly assess the ECG effects of many drugs and interventions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Methodology of ECG interpretation in the Dalhousie program; NOVACODE ECG classification procedures for clinical trials and population health surveys.

TL;DR: The NOVACODE module of the Dalhousie ECG Program classifies ECGs according to the Minnesota Code, supplemented with new sets of logic criteria for conduction defects, acute myocardial infarction, and serial ECG changes.

The Electrocardiogram in Population Studies A Classification System

TL;DR: A classification system for the electrocardiogram in epidemiologic studies has been developed, tested, and herein presented and permits more valid comparisons of data on heart disease between populations.

Automatic Recognition of Electrocardiographic Waves by Digital Computer

TL;DR: Comparison between computed and visual time measurements showed close agreement, especially when limits of visual accuracy and beat-to-beat variations in wave duration were taken into account.
Journal ArticleDOI

Computer extraction of electrocardiographic parameters.

TL;DR: The electrocardiogram was selected as the most suitable model of an electrophysiologic signal from which to extract data because of the large backlog of Electrocardiographic data on subjects known to be norrnal or abnormal.
