Pavement texture depth estimation using image-based multiscale features

TL;DR: In this article , a multiscale segmentation and 2D wavelet decomposition based image-based multi-scale features for texture depth estimation was proposed. But the results showed that the multivariable nonlinear regressors were not able to deal with features' multicollinearity.

Digital image processing for precise evaluation of concrete crack repair using bio-inspired strategies

TL;DR: In this paper , Bacillus pumilus with calcite precipitate was used for mortar crack repair by using a non-ureolytic (avoiding the production of ammonia), alkaliphilic bacterial strain with calcium source.

Study on meso-structural characteristics and homogeneity of asphalt mixture skeleton contacts

TL;DR: In this paper , the difference in key aggregate particle size on the meso-contact characteristic and the distribution homogeneous of contact points was investigated, and the relationship between the evaluation parameters of skeleton homogeneity and the macro-rutting resistance of asphalt mixtures was examined.

A two-dimensional entropy-based method for detecting the degree of segregation in asphalt mixture

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed two-dimensional (2D) entropy of the chunking image in calculating uniformity complexity (U) to evaluate surface segregation of bituminous mixtures with digital image processing.

Segregation in hot-mix asphalt pavements

Mary Stroup-Gardiner, +1 more
- 01 Jan 2000 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present recommended methods and specifications to detect and measure segregation of hot-mix asphalt using infrared thermography or ROSANv laser surface texture measurements, which is of particular interest to materials and construction engineers in state highway agencies, as well as contractor personnel responsible for construction of HMA paving projects.
