Study on corrosion properties of pipelines in simulated produced water saturated with supercritical CO2
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the corrosion properties of three pipeline steels in static simulated produced water (SPW) saturated with supercritical carbon dioxide using weight-loss tests, and found that the corrosion rates of the tested steels significantly decreased with increasing the exposure temperature and time in static SPW saturated with SC-CO2.

Impact of SO2 concentration on the corrosion rate of X70 steel and iron in water-saturated supercritical CO2 mixed with SO2
TL;DR: In this paper, the corrosion behavior of X70 steel and iron in water-saturated supercritical CO2 mixed with SO2 was investigated using weight-loss measurements, and it was found that the instantaneous corrosion rate of iron was much higher than the uniform corrosion rate.

K. D. Efird,R. J. Jasinski +1 more
TL;DR: The specific crude oil present is shown to have a major effect on the corrosion of steel in crude oil/brine production environments as mentioned in this paper, and the algebraic product of the organic nitrogen concentration in weight percent and acid number exhibits an inverse relationship to the steel corrosion rate.
