Development and application of the added fluid mass and substructure techniques for integrated pressurized water reactor assembly

TLDR
In this article, the structural integrity of the 330MWt SMART this article assembly against earthquake was investigated. And the authors concluded that the iPWR assembly was designed with sufficient seismic safety margins, which can avoid a long calculation time and reduce the data storage volume.

Dynamics of Structures: Theory and Applications to Earthquake Engineering

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a single-degree-of-freedom (SDF) system, which is composed of a mass-spring-damper system and a non-viscous Damping Free Vibration (NFV) system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reduction of stiffness and mass matrices

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a method for reducing the size of the stiffness matrix by eliminating coordinates at which no forces are applied, based on the procedure used in Ref. 1 for stiffness matrix reduction.

Elastic Vibration Characteristics of Cantilever Plates in Water

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the liquid free surface on the resonant frequency of a vertical surface peircing plate is highly dependent upon the relationship between the depth of immersion of the plate and the mode of vibration.
