Downlink joint processing CoMP channel estimation with partial channel state information in LTE Advanced system

TLDR
Channel estimation with partial channel state information (CSI) for downlink CoMP is aimed and pilot based channel estimation algorithms such as least square (LS) and linear minimum mean square error (LMMSE) have been evaluated for different channel models in LTE advanced joint processing CoMP downlink.

Wireless multicarrier communications

TL;DR: This article develops a systematic discrete-time framework and designs novel systems for single- and multiuser wireless multicarrier communications-a field rich in signal processing challenges that holds great potential in various applications including audio/video broadcasting, cable television, modem design, multimedia services, mobile local area networks, and future-generation wideband cellular systems.

Training-based MIMO channel estimation: a study of estimator tradeoffs and optimal training signals

TL;DR: This paper considers the popular linear least squares and minimum mean-square-error approaches and proposes new scaled LS (SLS) and relaxed MMSE techniques which require less knowledge of the channel second-order statistics and/or have better performance than the conventional LS and MMSE channel estimators.

Doppler spectrum from moving scatterers in a random environment

TL;DR: In this article, a general theory of Doppler spectra is developed for a random non-line-of-sight environment with stationary transmitter and receiver, where the impact of a scatterer depends on the angular distribution of scattered energy, and uniform as well as sharply peaked distributions are considered in the theory.

Transmission Mode Selection for Downlink Coordinated Multipoint Systems

TL;DR: In this paper, a method that allows each user to select transmission mode between coherent CoMP and non-CoMP was proposed to avoid the extra overhead outweighing the cooperative gain.
