A. Sathishkumar, +1 more
- 01 Oct 2022 -
TL;DR: In this paper , the performance of the low-capacity energy storage tank in different heat transfer fluid (HTF) conditions (at various flow rates) filled with spherical capsules containing nano-enhanced phase change material (nano-PCM) was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Combined effects of nozzle hole variation and piston bowl geometry modification on performance characteristics of a diesel engine with energy and exergy approach

TL;DR: In this paper , the effect of varying piston shapes and nozzle profile on energy and exergy rates of a diesel engine run with grapeseed oil methyl ester (GSME) blended with cerium oxide nano particles was examined.

Influence of functionalized carbon flake on phase change characteristics of deionized (DI) water for cool thermal storage system

TL;DR: In this article , the influence of thermal-resistance (R) and the time constant (τ) in phase change properties of carbon flake-based phase change materials (CPCM) experimentally.

Surfactant Control of Coffee Ring Formation in Carbon Nanotube Suspensions

TL;DR: In this article , the authors show that adding a specific concentration of a surfactant can mitigate the coffee-ring effect during the evaporation of colloidal droplets and is often undesirable, and they have conducted experiments on aqueous suspensions of carbon nanotubes that were prepared with dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide added at 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, 5, and 10 times the critical micelle concentration.

The effect of the aspect ratio of carbon nanotubes on their effective reinforcement modulus in an epoxy matrix

TL;DR: In this article, the reinforcement efficiency of carbon nanotubes having different aspect ratios has been experimentally investigated at low filler contents in an epoxy system, and the validity of the proposed model was assessed by a comparison with available literature data, providing a good agreement.

Role of PCM based nanofluids for energy efficient cool thermal storage system

TL;DR: In this article, the solidification behavior of water-based nanofluid phase change material encapsulated in a spherical container was presented. And the authors predicted that there is a possible energy saving potential of approximately 6-9% in the thermal energy storage (CTES) system using the NFPCMs.
