Hedgehog subwavelength hole arrays: control over the THz enhanced transmission
TL;DR: In this article, a similar control of the complex surface wave modes, and thus of the extraordinary transmission (ET) peaks, is demonstrated via anisotropic slabs in the form of a fakir's bed of nails, and it is shown that those ET peaks formed from TE modes are suppressed because of the inherent dispersion characteristics of the free-standing grounded pins.

Buried object approach for solving scattering problems related to rough surfaces

Application of radio ground-wave propagation theory to the tomographic imaging of ground surfaces
TL;DR: In this paper, the theory of ground-wave propagation is applied to the inverse problem of the tomographic imaging of ground surfaces, and an iterative technique for solving it is illustrated based on the minimization of the cost function of the measured and estimated scattered fields produced by the surface under investigation in isolation.
