Facial Features and its Importance in Chinese Physiognomy

TLDR
In this project, different algorithms for detection and extraction of five facial features, i.e. hairline, smile line, skin, wrinkle and melanocytes are used and stored in a cloud platform so that users can periodically browse the changes in these facial features.
Abstract
In this project, we have used different algorithms for detection and extraction of five facial features, i.e. hairline, smile line, skin, wrinkle and melanocytes. These actions were performed using image processing software services and were stored in a cloud platform so that users can periodically browse the changes in these facial features. Chinese medical doctors could also check the features and give some suggestion/comment for patients via internet.

Localizing parts of faces using a consensus of exemplars

TL;DR: A novel approach to localizing parts in images of human faces that combines the output of local detectors with a non-parametric set of global models for the part locations based on over one thousand hand-labeled exemplar images and derives a Bayesian objective function.

A Fusion Approach for Efficient Human Skin Detection

TL;DR: An eye detector is used to refine the skin model for a specific person and a smoothed 2-D histogram and Gaussian model is combined, for automatic human skin detection in color image(s).

Human Skin Detection Using RGB, HSV and YCbCr Color Models

TL;DR: In this article, a new human skin detection algorithm is proposed, which not only considers individual ranges of the three color parameters but also takes into ac-count combinational ranges which provide greater accuracy in recognizing the skin area in a given image.

Extraction of Visual Facial Features for Health Management

TL;DR: A visual face feature extraction scheme using image processing techniques for health management systems is proposed and face contours, face colors, smile lines, hairlines, and melanocytes were detected, extracted, stored, and retrieved.
