Two‐dimensional lattice–Boltzmann model of hydrosol depth filtration
TL;DR: In this paper, a two-dimensional mathematical model of the initial stage of depth filtration is developed, which describes the fluid flow and the particle transport and capture in a representative elementary volume of the filter.

Colloid Transport in Aggregated Porous Media with Intra- and Interaggregate Porosities
TL;DR: In this paper, column tracer and colloid transport experiments were performed under both saturated and unsaturated steady state flow conditions in an aggregated porous medium with a bimodal pore size distribution.

Nanoparticles in Groundwater – Occurrence and Applications
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the environmental fate of synthetic nanoparticles and found that the attachment efficiency of nanoparticles is very sensitive to modifications of the surface of the synthetic particles and that removal rates for nanoparticles without stabilization could be high even though a stabilization via interaction with humic substances is likely to occur in the topsoil.
