10 – Nonwoven fabric filters

TL;DR: In this paper, the characteristics of nonwoven fabric filters and their typical industrial applications are summarized; the mechanisms of filtration including single fibre theory and blood filTration theory were reviewed; the performance and properties of non-woven filters in air, water, oil, and coalescing fil-tration applications are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of particle loading on granular bed filtration—The cluster enhanced filter model

TL;DR: In this paper, a cluster enhanced filter (CEF) model is proposed for the filtration process in granular bed filters, which predicts the formation of a high porosity layer, which consists of clusters of particles, on the surface of the collector.
Journal ArticleDOI

Species removal from aqueous radioactive waste by deep-bed filtration.

TL;DR: Performances of aqueous suspension treatment by deep-bed sand filtration were experimentally studied and simulated and predicted results revealed that the bed radioactivity determined by the sorption of radionuclides was significantly lower than the bedRadioactiveities caused by the deposition of radioactive particles.
