Propagation of vector solitons in a quasi-resonant medium with stark deformation of quantum states
Sergey V. Sazonov,N. V. Ustinov +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the nonlinear dynamics of a vector two-component optical pulse propagating in quasi-resonance conditions in a medium of nonsymmetric quantum objects is investigated for Stark splitting of quantum energy levels by an external electric field.
Journal ArticleDOI
Testing the Painlevé property of the Maxwell-Bloch and reduced Maxwell-Bloch equations
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors test the Maxwell-Bloch equations for the Painleve property in both the original and unidirectional form and show that the non-integrability of the former and complete integrability for the latter extend from the sharp line limit to the model with inhomogeneous broadening.

Discretisations of Constrained KP Hierarchies
Ralph Willox,Madoka Hattori +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a discrete analogue of the so-called symmetry reduced or "constrained" KP hierarchy, which is used to obtain integrable discretisations of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation, the Broer-Kaup equation and the Yajima-Oikawa system, together with their Lax pairs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nonlinear regimes of the resonant acoustic transparency for longitudinal-transverse elastic waves in low-temperature paramagnetic crystals
A. V. Gulakov,Sergey V. Sazonov +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the nonlinear propagation of longitudinal-transverse acoustic pulses in the system of resonant paramagnetic impurities and showed that, under a large transverse pulse component and propagation along an external magnetic field, a regime of acoustic self-induced transparency is realized.
Journal ArticleDOI
A study on resonant collision in the two-dimensional multi-component long-wave–short-wave resonance system
Jiguang Rao,T. Kanna,Jingsong He +2 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors studied the occurrence and dynamics of resonant collisions of breathers among themselves and with rational solitary waves in a two-dimensional multi-component long-wave-short-wave resonance system.

On the Dynamics of Sonic-Langmuir Solitons
TL;DR: In this paper, the nonstationary evolution of nonlinear Langmuir waves is considered and the process of soliton formation is studied in the case where the perturbation propagates with a speed close to that of sound.

Method for Solving the Sine-Gordon Equation in Laboratory Coordinates†
TL;DR: Inverse scattering transforms as discussed by the authors can be used to solve the sine-Gordon equation in laboratory coordinates, which can be seen as a generalization of the direct and inverse scattering transforms.
