Full-Duplex Device-to-Device-Aided Cooperative Nonorthogonal Multiple Access

TLDR
This paper presents a full-duplex device-to-device (D2D)-aided cooperative nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) scheme to improve the outage performance of the NOMA-weak user in a N OMA user pair, where the Noma- weak user is helped by the NomA-strong user with the capability of full- duplex D2D communications.
Abstract
This paper presents a full-duplex device-to-device (D2D)-aided cooperative nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) scheme to improve the outage performance of the NOMA-weak user in a NOMA user pair, where the NOMA-weak user is helped by the NOMA-strong user with the capability of full-duplex D2D communications. The expressions for the outage probability are derived to characterize the performance of the proposed scheme. The results show that the proposed cooperative NOMA scheme can achieve superior outage performance compared to the conventional NOMA and orthogonal multiple access (OMA). In order to further improve the outage performance, an adaptive multiple access (AMA) scheme is also studied, which dynamically switches between the proposed cooperative NOMA, conventional NOMA, and OMA schemes, according to the level of residual self-interference and the quality of links. The results show that the AMA scheme outperforms the above multiple access schemes in terms of outage performance.

Secrecy Performance Analysis of Relay Selection in Cooperative NOMA Systems

TL;DR: It is shown that the secrecy diversity orders for the cooperative NOMA systems are determined by the number of relays, and the TRS/ORS schemes are capable of achieving better secrecy outage behaviors compared with random RS and orthogonal multiple access-based RS schemes.

Performance Analysis of a Hybrid Downlink-Uplink Cooperative NOMA Scheme

TL;DR: The proposed scheme enables the strong user to perform a cooperative transmission and an interference-free uplink transmission simultaneously during the cooperative phase, at the expense of a slightly decrease in signal reception reliability at the weak user.

Joint Power Allocation and User Scheduling for Device-to-Device-Enabled Heterogeneous Networks With Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access

TL;DR: This paper proposes an SBS-NU-FU matching algorithm to obtain a near-optimal one-to-one three-sided matching of SBSs, NUs, and FUs and develops a two-step approach that gets around 95% of the system throughput of the optimal one and can significantly improve the spectral efficiency of the D2D-enabled HetNets.
