First in situ determination of the ground thermal conductivity for boreholeheat exchanger applications in Saudi Arabia
Mostafa H. Sharqawy,S.A.M. Said,Esmail M. A. Mokheimer,M. A. Habib,Hassan M. Badr,N. A. Al-Shayea +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors deal with the in situ experimental determination of the thermal properties of the underground soil for use in the design of borehole heat exchangers (BHE).
Journal ArticleDOI
Styrene-butadiene latex modified calcium aluminate cement mortar
TL;DR: In this article, the properties of calcium aluminate cement (CAC) mortar modified with the styrene-butadiene-rubber (SBR) latex were investigated, and the heat of hydration evolution of mortar specimens was measured by means of a self adopted isoperibol calorimeter.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical investigation of natural convection of Al 2 O 3 nanofluid in vertical annuli
Omid Abouali,Ahmad Falahatpisheh +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented the numerical study of internal free convection of Al2O3 water nanofluid in vertical annuli, where vertical walls are maintained at constant temperatures and horizontal walls are adiabatic.
Book ChapterDOI
Energy Harvesting for Self-Powered Wearable Devices
TL;DR: Personalized sensor networks optionally should include wearable sensors or a body area network (BAN) wirelessly connected to a home computer or a remote computer through long-distance devices, such as a personal digital assistant or a mobile phone.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nanofluid-based cooling of cylindrical lithium-ion battery packs employing forced air flow
TL;DR: In this article, a pseudo 2D electrochemical model has been used to investigate the electrochemical and thermal condition of commercial 18650 Li-Ion battery, and results showed that the model predicts the temperature rise and thermal power generation very well.
