TLDR
The Global Wetland Outlook as discussed by the authors provides a current overview of wetlands: their extent, trends, drivers of change and the responses needed to reverse the historical decline in wetland area and quality.Abstract:
Conservation and wise use of wetlands are vital for human livelihoods. The wide range of ecosystem services wetlands provide means that they lie at the heart of sustainable development. Yet policy and decision-makers often underestimate the value of their benefits to nature and humankind. Understanding these values and what is happening to wetlands is critical to ensuring their conservation and wise use.
The Global Wetland Outlook, the flagship publication of the Ramsar Convention, provides a current overview of wetlands: their extent, trends, drivers of change and the responses needed to reverse the historical decline in wetland area and quality.read more

What would have been the impacts of wetlands on low flow support and high flow attenuation under steady state land cover conditions
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the loss of wetland areas generally leads to a loss of hydrological services and highlighted the need for wetland conservation programs and restoration actions.

Impacts du changement global sur la biodiversité en mer Méditerranée : une approche par modélisation End-to-End
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a model of the ecosystem of Mediterranee based on a set of ecosystems of the physique and biogeochimiques. But the authors do not consider the effect of the changes in the environment on these ecosystems.

TL;DR: Results recommend that only water richness of the wetlands of the Wetland is not enough to represent the habitat suitability in the densely populated riparian flood plain region.

A Citizen Science State of the World’s Wetlands Survey
TL;DR: This article conducted a survey on the status and trends of over 500 wetlands from across the globe and found that large wetlands, particularly in Africa but also in Latin America and the Caribbean, were reported to be in a worse, and increasingly deteriorating, state than smaller wetlands in North America, Europe and Oceania.
