TLDR
In this article, it was shown that the grown crystals had an fcc structure with lattice constant a = 18.471 A, and the possible mechanism for the growth of hollow needles has been suggested on the basis of morphological studies.

Synthesis and Characterization of Bis(2,2‘-bipyridyl)platinum(I): A Novel Microtubular Linear-Chain Complex

TL;DR: One-electron reduction of [Pt(bpy)2]2+ (bpy = 2,2‘-bipyridyl) in aqueous solution results in the formation of black-green lustrous needles on solid electrodes as mentioned in this paper.

Dislocation, annealing and quenching effects on the microindentation hardness of Bi2Te3 and Bi2Te2.9Se.1 single crystals

TL;DR: In this paper, X-ray powder diffraction and energy dispersive Xray analysis were used to prove that the grown crystals are stoichiometric with lattice constants a =0.4374 nm, c =3.044 nm for Bi 2 Te 3 and a = 0.038 nm for bi 2 Te 2.9 Se.1.

Ammonothermal Crystal Growth of Germanium and Its Alloys: Synthesis of a Hollow Metallic Crystal

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used ammonothermal conditions to transport germanium and other metals from the hot zone of a sealed quartz tube to the cool zone, where both crystalline and amorphous materials can deposit.

Liquid-mediated metathetical synthesis of indium and antimony oxides and chalcogenides

TL;DR: Indium and antimony oxides and chalcogenides of the formula M2E3 have been successfully synthesized via liquid-mediated metathetical reactions of InCl3 or SbCl3 with Na2E (E = S, Se, Te) or Na2O2 in refluxing toluene for 48 h.

TL;DR: In this paper , a new class of compounds called $X{Z} is proposed, which can transit from a trivial gapless ferromagnetic semimetal into a quantum anomalous Hall (QAH) insulator with a 10-meV global band gap.

Indentation deformation/fracture of normal and anomalous glasses

TL;DR: In this article, Vickers deformation/fracture indentations have been investigated in six silicate glasses and the characteristic damage patterns fall into two distinct groups according to whether the glass shows normal or anomalous mechanical behaviour.

Some Properties of In2Te3 and Ga2Te3

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors summarized the measurements which have been made to determine various physical parameters for the compounds and reviewed the previously described problems of the preparation of stoichiometric and and the associated question of ordering of lattice vacancies in are reviewed briefly.
