Microwave preparation of raw vermiculite for use in removal of copper ions from aqueous solutions

TL;DR: Results indicate that exfoliated vermiculite can be prepared by microwave irradiation instead of conventional heat processes for use as a copper ion adsorbent.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydrotalcite Intercalated siRNA: Computational Characterization of the Interlayer Environment

TL;DR: It is found the crystalline forms remain structurally distinct when intercalated, whereas this is not the case in water, and implications for the stability of hybrid LDH-RNA systems are discussed.

Mass transfers and volume changes related to pressure solution-fracturing interactions in carbonate rocks: example of the Oligocene deformation of the Coniacian chalk from the Omey area (Paris basin, France)

TL;DR: In this article, the mass and volume changes caused by the Oligocene deformation of the Coniacian chalk from the Omey area were studied by using the isocon method, which allowed to establish that decreases in interstitial fluid pressure resulting from the development of one normal fault and related tension gashes within a 11.4m wide zone induced mass changes within a 30.2m± 3.5mm wide zone.

Recherche de précurseurs géophysiques à la transition solide-fluide dans les glissements-coulées affectant les matériaux argileux

TL;DR: In this paper, a transition solide-fluide which caracterises ces materiaux argileux, and a comprendre les mecanismes en jeu lors of this transition is discussed.
