Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental features of cation exchange capacity determination in organic-rich mudstones

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented a CEC data set obtained using both hexaamminecobalt(III) chloride (CoHex) and modified (NH4Cl)Alc methods for a representative collection of core samples of the Bazhenov shale formation (West Siberia, Russian Federation).
Journal ArticleDOI

Dehydration of methanol to dimethyl ether over modified vermiculites

TL;DR: In this paper, vermiculite materials modified with titanium were used as catalysts for methanol dehydration to dimethyl ether, and the results showed that the added water had a negative effect on the catalysts' activity and led to faster catalyst deactivation.
Journal ArticleDOI

DRIFT spectroscopic study of diagenetic organic-clay interactions in argillaceous source rocks

TL;DR: The correlation between the diagenetic smectite illitization and the decrease in the amount of combined OM leads to the conclusion that the smectitization may be a driving force for the OM desorption.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of Recementation Reactivity of Recycled Concrete Aggregate Fines

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the recementation reactivity of RCA fines that could eventually impair drainage performance and found that RCA fined passing the No. 200 sieve (less than 75 μm) were produced through the simulation of an in-place aggregate abrasion process, and cement paste cylinders were cast with complete replacement of cement with RCA fine.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation of ternary amino-functionalized magnetic nano-sized illite-smectite clay for adsorption of Pb(II) ions in aqueous solution

TL;DR: The thermodynamic analysis reveals that the adsorption of Pb(II) onto AMNI/S-1 is spontaneous and endothermic in nature and could be used as a prospective effective adsorbent.
