Interferometry with a photon-number resolving detector

TLDR
With photon number resolving detectors, this article showed compression of interference fringes with increasing photon numbers for both Michelson and Fabry-Perot interferometers, and theoretically showed supersensitivity for nonclassical light.
Abstract
With photon-number resolving detectors, we show compression of interference fringes with increasing photon numbers for both Michelson and Fabry-Perot interferometers. We also theoretically show supersensitivity for nonclassical light.

Journal ArticleDOI

Nonlinear interferometry via Fock-state projection.

TL;DR: The postselection of a specific Fock (photon-number) state effectively induces high-order optical nonlinearities, which is explored to demonstrate interference patterns a factor of 5 smaller than the Rayleigh limit.
