Prenylated cinnamate and stilbenes from Kangaroo Island propolis and their antioxidant activity
TL;DR: Stilbene propolis from Kangaroo Island showed a stronger scavenging activity towards DPPH free radical than Brazilian green propolis, which can be explained by the presence of large number of stilbenes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Women's Health Among the Chumash
James D. Adams,Cecilia Garcia +1 more
TL;DR: Traditional remedies of the Chumash for dysmenorrhea, premenstrual syndrome, feminine hygiene, heavy menstruation, urinary tract infections, parturition, lactation, infant care, menopause, sexually transmitted diseases, fertility, contraception and abortions are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Insecticidal chromenes from the volatile oil ofHemizonia fitchii.
TL;DR: The chromenes exhibited weak to moderate toxicity against Culex pipiens (house mosquito) larvae and Oncopeltus fasciatus (large milkweed bug) nymphs, however, no antijuvenile hormone activity was observed for any of the compounds tested against these insect species.
