TLDR
In this paper, a theoretical analysis of the process of the generation of the groove based on anisotropic plasticity theory is presented, and the system of equations derived was solved numerically with the aid of a computer, which enabled the limiting strain of the sheet metal to be determined as a function of the material.

Multiscale mechanics of TRIP-assisted multiphase steels: I. Characterization and mechanical testing

TL;DR: In this paper, the mechanical behavior of transformation-induced plasticity (TRIP)-assisted multiphase steels is addressed based on three different microstructures generated from the same steel grade.

Modeling of shear ductile fracture considering a changeable cut-off value for stress triaxiality

TL;DR: In this article, a macroscopic fracture criterion is proposed based on micro-mechanism analysis of nucleation, growth and shear coalescence of voids from experimental observation of fracture surfaces.

Analysis of strain localization during tensile tests by digital image correlation

TL;DR: In this article, an imaging technique developed to study the strain localization phenomena that occur during the tension of thin, flat steel samples is presented, where the data are processed using digital speckle image correlation to derive the two in-plane components of the displacement vectors.

Advances in experiments on metal sheets and tubes in support of constitutive modeling and forming simulations

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of experimental methods for observing and modeling the anisotropic plastic behavior of metal sheets and tubes under a variety of loading paths, such as biaxial compression tests, biaaxial tension tests, and abrupt strain path change method for detecting a yield vertex and subsequent yield loci.

Review of theoretical models of the strain-based FLD and their relevance to the stress-based FLD

TL;DR: In this article, a path-independent stress-based model for sheet metal forming analysis is proposed. But the model is not suitable for the analysis of complex forming processes, such as restrikes, flanging operations, hydroforming, and first draw dies with deep pockets or embossments.

Plastic instability under plane stress

TL;DR: In this paper, conditions for instability of plastic strain under plane stress for a material conforming to the Mises-Hencky yield condition and strain-hardening according to a unique relationship between root-mean-square values of shear stress (q) and incremental strain (δψ).

C. A theory of the plastic bulging of a metal diaphragm by lateral pressure

TL;DR: In this article, explicit formulae are obtained for the stresses in a metal diaphragm which is bulged plastically by lateral pressure, and the predicted influence of work-hardening on the shape of the profile, and on the relation between polar strain and curvature, agree well with experimental data.
