Magnetohydrodynamic Flow and Heat Transfer About a Rotating Disk

TLDR
In this article, the effects of an axial magnetic field on the flow and heat transfer about a rotating disk were analyzed, and it was found that the presence of the magnetic field significantly decreases the flow velocities; but increases the torque required to maintain steady rotation of the disk.
Abstract
The effects of an axial magnetic field on the flow and heat transfer about a rotating disk were analyzed. It was found that the presence of the magnetic field significantly decreases the flow velocities; but increases the torque required to maintain steady rotation of the disk. The heat transfer was also decreased by the magnetic field, with greater reductions occurring for low Prandtl number fluids. (auth)

Unsteady heat and mass transfer from a rotating vertical cone with a magnetic field and heat generation or absorption effects

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focused on the study of unsteady heat and mass transfer by mixed convection flow over a vertical permeable cone rotating in an ambient fluid with a time-dependent angular velocity in the presence of a magnetic field and heat generation or absorption effects.

Unsteady mixed convection flow from a rotating vertical cone with a magnetic field

TL;DR: In this paper, an analysis was developed to study the unsteady mixed convection flow over a vertical cone rotating in an ambient fluid with a time-dependent angular velocity in the presence of a magnetic field, and the coupled nonlinear partial differential equations governing the flow were solved numerically using an implicit finite-difference scheme.

Three dimensional MHD stagnation flow due to a stretchable rotating disk

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of rotation and stretching on the stagnation point flow of an electrically conducting fluid on a radially stretchable rotating disk in the presence of a uniform vertical magnetic field were investigated.
