Natural convection flow in a finite, rectangular slot arbitrarily oriented with respect to the gravity vector

TLDR
In this paper, the Galerkin method was used to solve the stationary two-dimensional equations of motion governing natural convection flow of a large Prandtl number Boussinesq fluid contained in a differentially heated inclined rectangular slot.

Unsteady natural convection in a rectangular cavity

TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered the problem of transient natural convection in a cavity of aspect ratio A [les ] 1 with differentially heated end walls and used scale analysis to show that a number of initial flow types are possible, collapsing ultimately onto two basic types of steady flow, determined by the relative value of the non-dimensional parameters describing the flow.

Laminar natural convection in an inclined cavity with a wavy wall

TL;DR: In this article, a numerical study of the effect of a hot wavy wall of a laminar natural convection in an inclined square cavity, differentially heated, was carried out.

Solar transparent insulation materials: a review

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a status report on solar transparent insulation materials (TIM), which covers a survey of the literature, various physical and other properties of TIM devices, their classifications, applications, fabrication procedures, availability and cost trends.

Numerical study of laminar and turbulent natural convection in an inclined square cavity

TL;DR: In this article, the Nusselt number is calculated for both laminar and turbulent flows in a differentially heated, inclined square cavity. But the analysis was performed for the high Rayleigh numbers of 106 and 1010.

Distant side-walls cause slow amplitude modulation of cellular convection

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of vertical boundaries on convection in a shallow layer of fluid heated from below is considered by means of a multiple-scale perturbation analysis, results for horizontally unbounded layers are modified so that they fit in a rectangular region.

Heat transfer by free convection across a closed cavity between vertical boundaries at different temperatures

TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered the two-dimensional convective motion generated by buoyancy forces on the fluid in a long rectangle, of which the two long sides are vertical boundaries held at different temperatures, and determined the rate of transfer of heat between the two vertical boundaries.

Laminar free convection in a vertical slot

TL;DR: In this paper, the interaction of buoyancy and shear forces in the free convective flow of a liquid in a rectangular cavity across which there is a uniform temperature difference, ΔT, produced by maintaining the two vertical walls at two different temperatures.
