Pressure-dependent water absorption cross sections for exoplanets and other atmospheres

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the averaged energy difference method and the empirical expression for J ′ J ″ -dependence Voigt profiles based on these widths and the BT2 line list to generate high resolution ( Δ ν ˜ = 001 cm − 1 ) pressure broadened cross sections for a fixed range of temperatures and pressures between 300 and 2000 K and 0001-10 bar.

Wavelength-modulation laser hygrometer for ultrasensitive detection of water vapor in semiconductor gases

TL;DR: The sensitivity, linearity, and stability of the technique are determined in experiments conducted at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, Maryland, by use of the low frost-point humidity generator over the range from 5 nmol/mol to 2.5 mumol/ mol of water vapor in air.

The ExoMol pressure broadening diet: H 2 and He line-broadening parameters

TL;DR: In a variety of astronomical objects including gas giant (exo-)planets, brown dwarfs and cool stars, molecular hydrogen and helium are the major line broadeners as mentioned in this paper.
