Solid-state polymer light-emitting electrochemical cells
Qibing Pei,Yang Yang +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a light-emitting p-n junction is constructed between conjugated polymers and solid electrolytes, with an internal built-in potential close to the bandgap of the redox-active conjugation polymers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Design Strategy for Efficient Solution-Processable Red Electrochromic Polymers Based on Unconventional 3,6-Bis(dodecyloxy)thieno[3,2-b]thiophene Building Blocks
Yuyang Yin,Weishuo Li,Xianzhe Zeng,Panpan Xu,Imran Murtaza,Yitong Guo,Yumeng Liu,Tingting Li,Jupeng Cao,Yaowu He,Hong Meng +10 more
TL;DR: A solution-processable poly(2,5-dimethoxyphenyl-1,4-diyl-3,6-bis(dodecyloxy)thieno[3,2-b]thiophene) (P3) showed obvious yellow-green fluorescence in chloroform and demonstrated a rapid reversible switching (1.1 s/0.9 s for doping/dedoping process) between the red and bleached states as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polyindole-Au nanocomposite produced at the liquid/liquid interface
Leela Joshi,Rajiv Prakash +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a polyindole-Au nanocomposite was synthesized using a novel interfacial polymerization route at water/dichloromethane interface.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electroactive polymeric films from oxidative coupling of oligophenyls
TL;DR: In this paper, anodic coupling of biphenyl, terphenyl and triphenylene in acetonitrile was investigated by electrochemical and spectroscopic techniques, and two-graft linking in a polyparaphenylene-like structure which was reversibly oxidized with 0.5 electrons per monomer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gas sensitivities of polypyrrole films to electron acceptor gases.
Tetsuro Hanawa,Hiroshi Yoneyama +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was found that polypyrrole films exhibited gas sensitivities to electron acceptor gases such as PCl3, SO2, and NO2 at room temperature only when they were reduced electrochemically, and the resistance decrease was larger with the gas of larger electron affinity.

The electrochromic properties of lutetium and other phthalocyanines
TL;DR: In this paper, the electrochemical properties of thin films of metal phthalocyanines on conducting substrates are investigated and a film electrode model is proposed based on an irreversible charge transfer step.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanism of electrochromism in WO3
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the positive ion remains fully ionized even in the presence of high densities of injected electrons in amorphous WO3 films and in tungsten bronzes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrochromism in Li x WO 3
TL;DR: In this article, the electrochromic behavior of symmetric and asymmetric cells has been studied by potentiostatic and galvanostatic measurements for both asymmetric and symmetric cells, and the kinetics of coloration and bleaching are ascribed to barrier-limited and space charge-limited current flow, respectively.
