Journal ArticleDOI
Electrochromism and electrochemical characterization of soluble poly[3-alkylhetero(arylene)s]
TL;DR: In this article, the electrochemical properties of 3-alkylhetero-arylene (3-alkyhetero(arylene)s) were compared with those of poly(3-methylthiophene), polythiophenes and their derivatives under the same polymerization conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
The two-stage reversible reaction of bromine with poly(dithienylvinylene)
TL;DR: In this article, the reaction of poly(dithienylvinylene) as thin film with bromine occurs in two subsequent stages, i.e., doping to the conductive state and addition to an insulating material.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spectroscopic and electrochemical behavior of polypyrrole films incorporating methylene blue, and their enhancement in electrochromism
TL;DR: A cationic dye methylene blue (M.B.) was incorporated into polypyrrole (P.P.) films in the course of electrochemical polymerization of pyrrole from aqueous solution containing poly(n) and KCl as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polymers studied by modulated ellipsometry: The electrochemical doping of poly(methyl-3-thiophene) grafted on platinum
TL;DR: In this paper, the electrochemical doping-undoping process of PMT films grafted on Pt electrodes was studied both in dynamic and static conditions, and the difference in the Δ and ψ spectra for a same effective doping ratio suggested that doping species (ClO 4 − ) were more homogeneously distributed into the polymer in the latter conditions than in the former.
Journal ArticleDOI
Conducting poly( N -(1-Naphthyl) ethylene-diamine dihydrochloride) electropolymerization, characterization and electroanalytical applications
TL;DR: In this article, uniform conducting polymer films of poly(N-(1-Naphthyl) ethylene-diamine dihydrochloride, PNED, were prepared conveniently and reproducibly by the anodic oxidation of the monomer, N-(1, N, D, NED, in an acidic aqueous solution using the conventional potentiodynamic technique.

The electrochromic properties of lutetium and other phthalocyanines
TL;DR: In this paper, the electrochemical properties of thin films of metal phthalocyanines on conducting substrates are investigated and a film electrode model is proposed based on an irreversible charge transfer step.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanism of electrochromism in WO3
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the positive ion remains fully ionized even in the presence of high densities of injected electrons in amorphous WO3 films and in tungsten bronzes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrochromism in Li x WO 3
TL;DR: In this article, the electrochromic behavior of symmetric and asymmetric cells has been studied by potentiostatic and galvanostatic measurements for both asymmetric and symmetric cells, and the kinetics of coloration and bleaching are ascribed to barrier-limited and space charge-limited current flow, respectively.
