Argumentation in Science Education: An Overview
TL;DR: The authors argue that argumentation, in whatever sense it is conveyed, is an integral part of science and argue it should be integrated into science education, and present an overview of a line of research in science education whose main purpose has been exactly making argumentation a component of instruction and learning.
Journal ArticleDOI
Trabalhando com estratégias de ensino-aprendizado por descoberta na área da saúde: a problematização e a aprendizagem baseada em problemas
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss two innovative methodological approaches: problem-based learning (PBL) and problematization, which lead to breaks with the traditional way of teaching and learning, stimulating participatory management by actors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multimodal Learning Analytics and Education Data Mining: Using computational technologies to measure complex learning tasks
TL;DR: It is argued that multimodal learning analytics can offer new insights into students’ learning trajectories in more complex and open-ended learning environments and its educational application is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cervical cancer prevention: new tools and old barriers
Isabel C. Scarinci,Francisco A.R. Garcia,Erin Kobetz,Edward E. Partridge,Heather M. Brandt,Maria C. Bell,Mark Dignan,Grace X. Ma,Jane L. Daye,Philip E. Castle +9 more
TL;DR: Together, HPV vaccination and testing, if used in an age‐appropriate manner, have the potential to transform cervical cancer prevention, particularly among underserved populations, Nevertheless, significant barriers of access, acceptability, and adoption to any cervical cancer Prevention strategy remain.

Multimodal learning analytics
TL;DR: It is argued that multimodal learning analytics could offer new insights into students' learning trajectories, and several examples of this work and its educational application are presented.
