Conceptual Site Model for Newark Bay—Hydrodynamics and Sediment Transport

TL;DR: A conceptual site model (CSM) has been developed for the Newark Bay Study Area (NBSA) as part of the Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS) for this New Jersey site as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Impacts of a storm on the erosion process of a tidal wetland in the Yellow River Delta

TL;DR: In this article, the impacts of storms on intertidal sedimentary processes were assessed and the authors concluded that storm-induced erosion is less likely to occur on tidal flats with rich sediment supply and high erosion resistance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Short-Term Variability of Nutrients and Fecal Indicator Bacteria within the Gold Coast Seaway, Southern Moreton Bay (Australia)

TL;DR: DUNN et al. as discussed by the authors investigated water quality within the Gold Coast Seaway and the immediately adjacent Broadwater at three sample depths at 13 sample locations, and measured conductivity, temperature, and depth casts, total (nitrogen and phosphorus) and dissolved inorganic (NOx and NH4 + ) nutrients, and fecal indicator bacteria.
Journal ArticleDOI

2D numerical modelling of meandering channel formation

TL;DR: In this paper, a 2D depth-averaged model for hydrodynamic sediment transport and river morphological adjustment was established, which takes into account the influence of non-uniform sediment with bed surface armoring and considers the impact of secondary flow in the direction of bedload transport and transverse slope of the river bed.
