Quantum Geometry of Refined Topological Strings

TLDR
In this paper, the authors consider branes in refined topological strings and show that their wave-functions satisfy a Schrodinger equation depending on multiple times and prove this in the case where the topological string has a dual matrix model description.
Abstract
We consider branes in refined topological strings We argue that their wave-functions satisfy a Schrodinger equation depending on multiple times and prove this in the case where the topological string has a dual matrix model description Furthermore, in the limit where one of the equivariant rotations approaches zero, the brane partition function satisfies a time-independent Schrodinger equation We use this observation, as well as the back reaction of the brane on the closed string geometry, to offer an explanation of the connection between integrable systems and N = 2 gauge systems in four dimensions observed by Nekrasov and Shatashvili

ABJM theory as a Fermi gas

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a method to study these models in the M-theory limit, but at all orders in the 1/N expansion, based on reformulating the matrix model as the partition function of an ideal Fermi gas with a non-trivial one-particle quantum Hamiltonian.

Non-perturbative effects and the refined topological string

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the full series of membrane instanton corrections is completely determined by the refined topological string on the Calabi-Yau manifold known as local ℙ1/×/ℙ 1, in the NekrasovShatashvili limit.

Torus knots and mirror symmetry

TL;DR: In this article, a spectral curve describing torus knots and links in the B-model is proposed, which is obtained by exploiting the full Sl(2;Z) symmetry of the spectral curve of the resolved conifold, and should be regarded as the mirror of the topological D-brane associated to torus knot in the large N Gopakumar{Vafa duality.

Topological Strings from Quantum Mechanics

TL;DR: In this article, the spectral determinant of a quantum-mechanical operator on a toric Calabi-Yau manifold has been conjectured in terms of an M-theoretic version of the topological string free energy.

Seiberg-Witten Prepotential from Instanton Counting

TL;DR: In this article, a two-parameter generalization of the Seiberg-Witten prepotential is presented, which is rather natural from the M-theory/five dimensional perspective, and conjecture its relation to the tau-functions of KP/Toda hierarchy.

Kodaira-Spencer theory of gravity and exact results for quantum string amplitudes

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed techniques to compute higher loop string amplitudes for twisted N = 2 theories with ε = 3 (i.e. the critical case) by exploiting the discovery of an anomaly at every genus in decoupling of BRST trivial states, captured by a master anomaly equation.

Seiberg-Witten theory and random partitions
