TLDR
In this article, the reaction of 2-propanol at 25 °C with oxygen atoms in the ground electronic state, O(3P), and, as a corollary, with the excited mercury atoms, Hg 6 (3P1), has been carried out.
Abstract
An investigation of the reaction of 2-propanol at 25 °C with oxygen atoms in the ground electronic state, O(3P), and, as a corollary, with the excited mercury atoms, Hg 6(3P1), has been carried out. The reaction of oxygen atoms with methanol at 25 °C has also been briefly studied. The general mechanism of reaction of O(3P) atoms with simple alcohols is discussed.

A shock-tube investigation of the high-temperature oxidation of methanol

TL;DR: In this article, a 19 reaction mechanism was proposed which gives relatively good agreement between calculated and measured concentration profiles, and measured tmax-values were compared with results obtained from computer modelling of the reaction.

Alkylation of phosphates and stability of phosphate triesters in DNA.

TL;DR: Experiments are presented which show that phosphate triesters resulting from the alkylation of DNA by ethyl methanesulfonate are very stable, most of them remaining intact after heating at 100°C for 90 min at pH 7.0.

Efficient degradation method of emerging organic pollutants in marine environment using UV/periodate process: case of chlorazol black.

TL;DR: It was found that periodate (0.5mM) assisted-UV treatment of CB in seawater resulted in 13.16-fold increase in the initial degradation rate, compared to UV alone, and SDS surfactant, as an organic matter, did not affect the degradation process, making UV/IO4- a promising technique for treating seawater contaminated with EOPs.

Chemical kinetics in the combustion processes: A detailed kinetics mechanism and its implementation

TL;DR: In this paper, the kinetics mechanism of oxidation of small molecules in the HCNO system was investigated. And the effect of turbulence on their yields and the ecological aspects of combustion processes were discussed.

Rate Constants and CH3O Product Yield of the Reaction OH + CH3OH → Products

TL;DR: In this paper, the absolute rate constants and CH3O product yield for the reaction of OH radicals with methanol have been determined using a combined laser photolysis/resonance fluorescence (laser induced fluorescence) technique.
