Theory of inertial spin dynamics in anisotropic ferromagnets

TL;DR: In this article , the authors derived the secular equation of an inertial spin system in analogy to the ubiquitous Smit-Beljers formalism and showed that the frequency of precessional ferromagnetic resonances is decreased as compared to the noninertial case.

Min-max and max-min principles for the solution of 2 + 1 Dirac fermion in magnetic field, graphene lattice and layered diatomic materials

TL;DR: In this article, the min-max and max-min theorems were obtained for the case of a fermion with near zero mass in diatomic materials with a graphene-type lattice.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

On the origin of magnetic inertia : a rigorous relativistic Dirac theory derivation

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived rigorously a description of magnetic inertia in the extended Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert (LLG) equation starting from a fundamental and relativistic Dirac-Kohn-Sham framework.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spin dynamics of $3d$ and $4d$ impurities embedded in prototypical topological insulators

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors performed a systematic investigation of transverse spin excitations of $3d$ and $4d$ single impurities embedded in two prototypical topological insulators and found that the impurity-induced states within the bulk gap of the topology can have a drastic impact on the spin excitation spectra, resulting in very high lifetimes reaching up to microseconds.

Inertial spin waves in ferromagnets and antiferromagnets

- 20 Oct 2022 -
TL;DR: In this article , the spin-wave spectrum in ferromagnets and two-sublattice antiferromagnetic sensors was calculated in the presence of inertial effects.
