Quantitative Analysis of the Chiral Amplification in the Amino Alcohol-Promoted Asymmetric Alkylation of Aldehydes with Dialkylzincs

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the nonlinear properties of the asymmetric reaction of dimethylzinc and benzaldehyde in the presence of (2S)-3-exo-(dimethylamino)isoborneol [(2S]-DAIB] and showed that the enantiomeric purity of the product is much higher than that of the chiral source, DAIB, while the rate of enantioselective catalysis decreases considerably.

Unexpected pehnomenon in the high-performance liquid chromatographic anlaysis of racemic 14C-labelled nicotine: Separation of enantiomers in a totally achiral system

TL;DR: Experiments were performed which demonstrate that the two 14 C peaks observed are due to the separated enantiomers of the radiolabelled material, which provides a facile method for the isolation of the pure enantiomes of 14 C-labelled nicotine, on a totally achiral system.
