Photometric redox determination of iodate ions in bottled drinking water

TL;DR: In this paper, a photometric procedure is proposed for the highly selective determination of iodate ions in bottled natural drinking water treated with ozone. The procedure is based on the oxidation of Methylene Blue or Variamine Blue by iodate ion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Uranium removal from nitrate solution by cation exchange resin (amberlite ir 120), adsorption and kinetic characteristics

TL;DR: In this article, the adsorption behavior of uranium ions from nitrate solutions using the strong acid cation exchange Amberlite IR120 resin has been investigated and the modelled data has been found to agree with both the exothermic pseudo first order reaction and the Langmuir isotherm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simple and sensitive method for the determination of trace amounts of thorium using a benzoquinone derivative

TL;DR: In this article, a simple, sensitive, rapid, direct, and spectrophotometry-based procedure was investigated to determine Th(IV) at trace amounts, which is based on chelation with 3,6-dichloro-2,5-dihydroxy-l,4-benzoquinone (DDBQ).
Journal ArticleDOI

Liquid-Liquid Extraction-Chromogenic Systems Containing Iron(III), 4-Nitrocatechol and Tetrazolium Salts

TL;DR: In this paper, complex formation and liquid-liquid extraction were studied in systems containing iron(III), 4-nitrocatechol (4NC),tetrazolium salt (TZS), water and organic solvent.
