One-pot synthesis of pyridine dicarboxamide derivative and its application for uranium separation from acidic medium

TL;DR: In this paper, a one-pot synthesis of pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid and di-(2-ethylhexyl) amine using polyphosphoric acid (PPA) as catalyst was done by condensation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetics of hydrochloric acid leaching of niobium from TiO2 residues

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the kinetics of HCl leaching of niobium from TiO 2 residues and showed that the dissolution of Niobium in HCl is governed by pore diffusion of the random pore model.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anodic dissolution of amorphous Ni–P alloys

TL;DR: In this paper, the anodic behavior of amorphous Ni-P alloys containing 23 and 27% P was compared to that of pure Ni. Measurements were performed in 0.1 M sulphate solutions of different pH by means of potentiodynamic polarization and impedance spectroscopy at selected anodic potentials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Equilibrium and Kinetic Characteristics of Uranium Recovery by the Strong Base Ambersep 920U Cl Resin

TL;DR: In this article, the equilibrium and kinetic characteristics of the strong base macroreticular resin, Ambersep 920U Cl developed by Rhom and Hass for uranium (VI) adsorption from high saline solutions have been determined using a synthetic uranium solution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Removal of some harmful metal ions from wet-process phosphoric acid using murexide-reinforced activated bentonite

TL;DR: In this paper, a batch system using murexide-reinforced activated bentonite (MRAB) was investigated for the removal of impurities from wet-process phosphoric acid (WPPA), which was characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDX), and fourier tranform infrared spectroscope (FT-IR) techniques.
