Journal ArticleDOI
Antibacterial nanocomposite of functionalized nanogold and gallium-doped hydroxyapatite
TL;DR: A nanocomposite of Au nanoparticles, functionalized with arginine, and hydroxyapatite that contains Ga 3 + ions is developed that possesses double antibacterial protection and seems a promising human-friendly alternative for antibiotics and Ag-based antibacterial materials in treatments of infections by bacteria resistant to antibiotics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of chitosan-tripolyphosphate non-woven fibrous scaffolds for tissue engineering application
TL;DR: Interestingly, at physiological pH these scaffolds release phosphate ions, which have significant influences on cellular function, which may be due to decrease in crystallinity as a result of instantaneous ionic cross-linking during fiber formation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of uranium and zirconium using cloud point extraction and multivariate methods
TL;DR: In this article, a cloud point extraction (CPE) process using the nonionic surfactant Triton X-114 to simultaneous extraction and spectrophotometric determination of uranium and zirconium from aqueous solution using partial least squares (PLS) regression is investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of flow injection analysis-solid phase extraction based on ion imprinted polymeric nanoparticles as an efficient and selective technique for preconcentration of zinc ions from aqueous solution
TL;DR: In this paper, a flow injection analysis-solid phase extraction (FIA-SPE) technique was developed by using zinc ion imprinted polymeric nanoparticles (Zn-IIP NPs) for the separation and preconcentration of Zn2+ ions from aqueous solutions.
Journal ArticleDOI
From Chemical to Structural Order of Electrodeposited Ni22P Alloy: An XPS and EDXD Study
Bernhard Elsener,Davide Atzei,A. Krolikowski,V. Rossi Albertini,Claudia Sadun,Ruggero Caminiti,Antonella Rossi +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, amorphous electrodeposited nickel-phosphorus alloys were analyzed in the amorphous and re-crystallized state by EDXD and XPS surface analysis.
