Abstract
Thank you for downloading some basic problems of the mathematical theory of elasticity. As you may know, people have search hundreds times for their favorite readings like this some basic problems of the mathematical theory of elasticity, but end up in infectious downloads. Rather than reading a good book with a cup of coffee in the afternoon, instead they cope with some infectious bugs inside their computer.

Journal ArticleDOI

Ground Movements due to Shallow Tunnels in Soft Ground. I: Analytical Solutions

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented simplified closed-form analytical solutions that can be used to interpret and predict ground movements caused by shallow tunneling in soft ground conditions, based on the assumption of linear, elastic soil behavior.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of the enclosed fluid on the flow over a microstructured surface in the Cassie state

TL;DR: In this article, analytical expressions for the flow field as well as for the effective slip length of a shear flow over a surface with periodic rectangular grooves are derived, which allow an investigation of the influence of the viscous stresses inside the secondary fluid for arbitrary geometries of the rectangular groove.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analytical formulas for gear body-induced tooth deflections of spur gears considering structure coupling effect

TL;DR: Based on the elastic circular ring theory of Muskhelishvili, simplified analytical formulas are derived to conveniently calculate the gear body-induced tooth deflections considering structure coupling effect, where cubic and parabolic stress distributions along the junction arc are adopted as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Strength degradation and stress analysis of composite plates with circular, square and rectangular notches using digital image correlation

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of tensile tests on laminates with various fiber orientation angles and specimens with different notch diameter/width (D/W ) ratios are designed and tested to determine the stress concentration factor (SCF), failure process, delamination, and tensile strength degradation of aluminum as well as in E-glass laminated plates.
Journal ArticleDOI

The interplay of stiffness and force anisotropies drives embryo elongation.

TL;DR: The results establish a quantitative link between cortical tension, material properties and morphogenesis of an entire embryo and show that myosin-II-dependent force anisotropy within the lateral epidermis, and stiffness anisolating within the fiber-reinforced dorso-ventral epider Mis are critical in driving embryonic elongation.
