TLDR
The most widely read reference in the water industry, Water Industry Reference as discussed by the authors, is a comprehensive reference tool for water analysis methods that covers all aspects of USEPA-approved water analysis.Abstract:
Set your standards with these standard methods. This is it: the most widely read publication in the water industry, your all-inclusive reference tool. This comprehensive reference covers all aspects of USEPA-approved water analysis methods. More than 400 methods - all detailed step-by-step; 8 vibrant, full-color pages of aquatic algae illustrations; Never-before-seen figures that will help users with toxicity testing and the identification of apparatus used in the methods; Over 300 superbly illustrated figures; A new analytical tool for a number of inorganic nonmetals; Improved coverage of data evaluation, sample preservation, and reagant water; And much more!read more

Removal of Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Products (PPCPs) under nitrifying and denitrifying conditions
TL;DR: Results indicated that fluoxetine (FLX), natural estrogens (E1+E2) and musk fragrances (HHCB, AHTN and ADBI) were transformed to a large extent under aerobic and anoxic conditions, whereas naproxen (NPX), ethinylestradiol (EE2), roxithromycin (ROX) and erythromycin(ERY) were only significantly transformed in the aerobic reactor.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anaerobic digestion of food waste for volatile fatty acids (VFAs) production with different types of inoculum: Effect of pH
TL;DR: The results showed that food waste hydrolysis increased obviously when Inoculum AN was used relative to Inocula AE at any pH investigated, and uncontrolled pH was higher than that at other pHs when either inoculum was used.
Journal ArticleDOI
Use of Chlorella vulgaris for bioremediation of textile wastewater.
TL;DR: The HRAP using C. vulgaris offers a good system for the polishing of TW before final discharge and Supplementation of the TW with nutrients of Bold's Basal Medium increased biomass production but did not improve colour removal or reduction of pollutants.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inter‐biome comparison of factors controlling stream metabolism

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied whole-ecosystem metabolism in eight streams from several biomes in North America to identify controls on the rate of stream metabolism over a large geographic range.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adsorption of phosphate by layered double hydroxides in aqueous solutions
TL;DR: In this paper, the adsorption process was spontaneous and exothermic in nature and followed first order kinetics, and the linearized form of Langmuir and Freundlich equations were fitted to a linearised form of the Freundich equation.
