Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of different packing media for anoxic H2S control in biogas.

TL;DR: Good agreement between the experimental results, model prediction and simultaneous dual‐response simulation was obtained and the process performance was evaluated by two simultaneous system responses, namely the H 2S removal efficiency and H2S loading rate.

Effect of medium components and time of cultivation on chitin production by Mucor circinelloides (Mucor javanicus IFO 4570) -- a factorial study.

TL;DR: Chitin production of mycelia from Mucor circinelloides was studied with a two-level factorial design in all combinations of the following factors in the culture medium: time of cultivation, concentration of D-glucose, L-asparagine and thiamine, and the four factors showed statistically significant positive main effects.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Efficient global optimization using hybrid genetic algorithms

TL;DR: The hybrid optimization approach presented in this work switches between global and local search methods based on the local topography of the design space to efficiently find the global optimal of complex, highly multimodal systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Combined Convective and Microwave Drying of Grapes

TL;DR: In this paper, combined convective and microwave drying of grapes is discussed. But the authors focus on combining convective and microwave drying techniques and do not discuss the effect of temperature on the results.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Optimization by Design of Experiment techniques

TL;DR: Examples in the use of the Screening Design and the Response Surface Method, a statistical technique for quickly optimizing performance of systems with known input variables, are presented.

The distribution of range in samples from a normal population, expressed in terms of an independent estimate of standard deviation

TL;DR: In this article, it has been shown that a rapid estimate of o may be obtained from the mean value of the range, which is only slightly less accurate than the estimate obtained from sum of squares.
Journal ArticleDOI

Developments in Multiple Comparisons 1966–1976

TL;DR: A bibliography of papers on multiple comparisons between 1966 and 1976 is contained, which includes a discussion of some of the more important developments during this period.
