Antagonistic trait of Staphylococcus succinus strain AAS2 against uropathogens and assessment of its in vitro probiotic characteristics.

TL;DR: The outcomes of this investigation divulge the plausible use of S. succinus strain AAS2 as biocontrol agent against uropathogens, and recommended further applications in pharmaceutics due to its pronounced probiotic traits.

Three novel Bacillus strains from a traditional lacto-fermented pickle as potential probiotics.

TL;DR: The in vitro probiotic potentials and safety assessment were evaluated for three Bacillus strains obtained from traditional pickle, which gained attention due to the production of resistant cells.

Effect of Alginate-Microencapsulated Hydrogels on the Survival of Lactobacillus rhamnosus under Simulated Gastrointestinal Conditions.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed a new coating material system of microencapsulation to protect probiotic cells from adverse environmental conditions and improve their recovery rates, where Lactobacillus rhamnosus was encapsulated with emulsion/internal gelation techniques in a calcium chloride solution.

The ameliorative effects of probiotic Lactobacillus fermentum strain RS-2 on alloxan induced diabetic rats

TL;DR: Feeding rats with fermented milk containing RS-2 was found to significantly delay the severity of diabetes by amelioration of fasting blood glucose, and antioxidative stress markers in liver and blood as compared to diabetic control group.

EzTaxon: a web-based tool for the identification of prokaryotes based on 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequences.

TL;DR: A database containing 16S rRNA gene sequences of all prokaryotic type strains was generated and a web-based tool, named EzTaxon, was constructed to achieve identification of isolates based on pairwise nucleotide similarity values and phylogenetic inference methods.

TL;DR: The immune state genetic manipulation of gut micro-organisms selection of strains for probiotic use and the indigenous gut flora gut flora and disease resistance factors affecting the microecology of the gut probiotics are studied.

Adhesion and aggregation ability of probiotic strain Lactobacillus acidophilus M92

TL;DR: In this paper, a probiotic strain L. acidophilus M92 was examined for autoaggregation ability and cell surface hydrophobicity, which suggests the possible role of cell surface layer (S-layer) proteins, approximated at 45 kDa.
