In this article, a selection of fit indices that are widely regarded as the most informative indices available to researchers is presented, along with guidelines on their use and strategies for their use.
Abstract
The following paper presents current thinking and research on fit indices for structural equation modelling. The paper presents a selection of fit indices that are widely regarded as the most informative indices available to researchers. As well as outlining each of these indices, guidelines are presented on their use. The paper also provides reporting strategies of these indices and concludes with a discussion on the future of fit indices.

A critical review of structural equation modeling applications in construction research

TL;DR: Structural equation modeling (SEM) is a versatile multivariate statistical technique and applications have been increasing since its introduction in the 1980s as discussed by the authors, however, there are inconsistencies in the various recorded applications and several recurring problems exist.

The unity and diversity of executive functions: A systematic review and re-analysis of latent variable studies.

TL;DR: Results show some evidence for greater unidimensionality of executive function among child/adolescent samples and both unity and diversity among adult samples, but low rates of model acceptance/selection suggest possible bias toward the publication of well-fitting but potentially nonreplicable models with underpowered samples.

Acceptance of mobile banking framework in Pakistan

TL;DR: The empirical findings established the significant contribution of task (TAC) and technology characteristics (TEC) in facilitating task technology fit (TTF), initial trust (IT) and facilitating condition (FC) with intention to adopt m-banking.

Shifting intra- and inter-organizational innovation processes towards digital business: An empirical analysis of SMEs

TL;DR: In this paper, the role of ICTs and big data in intra-and interorganizational ties and the consequent effects on enterprises' innovation performance is investigated via structural equation modeling (SEM).

The effect of consumer innovativeness on perceived value and continuance intention to use smartwatch

TL;DR: It is found that consumers feel more satisfied with the usefulness of a smartwatch than enjoyment/joy, which implies that users' continuance intention not only hinges on perceived values, but also on consumer innovativeness.

Cutoff criteria for fit indexes in covariance structure analysis : Conventional criteria versus new alternatives

TL;DR: In this article, the adequacy of the conventional cutoff criteria and several new alternatives for various fit indexes used to evaluate model fit in practice were examined, and the results suggest that, for the ML method, a cutoff value close to.95 for TLI, BL89, CFI, RNI, and G...

A new look at the statistical model identification

TL;DR: In this article, a new estimate minimum information theoretical criterion estimate (MAICE) is introduced for the purpose of statistical identification, which is free from the ambiguities inherent in the application of conventional hypothesis testing procedure.

Comparative fit indexes in structural models

TL;DR: A new coefficient is proposed to summarize the relative reduction in the noncentrality parameters of two nested models and two estimators of the coefficient yield new normed (CFI) and nonnormed (FI) fit indexes.
