Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the chemical constituents of Saussurea involucrate Kar. et Kir. METHODS The chemical constituents were isolated by column chromatography, and their structures were elucidated by chemical and spectroscopy evidences. RESULTS Eight coumarin compounds were isolated and identified as osthol, bergapten, isopimpinellin, edultin, vaginidiol diacetate, alloisoimperatorin, oroselol, xanthotoxol, respectively. CONCLUSION The eight coumarin compounds are isolated from Saussurea involucrate Kar. et Kir. for the first time.

Biotransformation of columbianadin by rat hepatic microsomes and inhibition of biotransformation products on NO production in RAW 264.7 cells in vitro.

TL;DR: Biotransformation of CBN by rat liver microsomes in vitro was studied, and thirteen biotransformation products including eight hitherto unknown compounds and five known compounds were produced by livermicrosomes from rats pre-treated with sodium phenobarbital.

Exploring the inhibitory potential of Saussurea costus and Saussurea involucrata phytoconstituents against the Spike glycoprotein receptor binding domain of SARS-CoV-2 Delta (B.1.617.2) variant and the main protease (Mpro) as therapeutic candidates, using Molecular docking, DFT, and ADME/Tox studies

TL;DR: In this paper , an attempt has been made through in-silico screening of 55 bioactive compounds from two selected plants, Saussurea costus and Saussuresurea involucrata as potential inhibitors of two viral proteases, main protease Mpro (PDB ID:6LU7) and the RBD of SGP of Sars-CoV-2 B1.1.2, where the binding energy, molecular interactions, ADMET/Tox, chemical descriptors and Quantum-Chemical Calculations were explored.

Nematicidal Coumarins from Cnidium monnieri Fruits and Angelica dahurica Roots and Their Physiological Effect on Pine Wood Nematode (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus)

TL;DR: In this paper , eight nematicidal coumarins against pine wood nematode (PWN), Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, were identified from the ethyl acetate extracts of Cnidium monnieri fruits and Angelica dahurica roots.
