Transient solution of an M/M/1 vacation queue with a waiting server and impatient customers
TL;DR: In this paper, the server is allowed to take a vacation whenever the system is empty after waiting for a random period of time, and if the server does not return from the vacation before the expiry of the customer impatience time, the customer abandons the system forever.

On the multivariate Nakagami-m distribution with arbitrary correlation and fading parameters
R. A. A. de Souza,M.D. Yacoub +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new closed-form formula for the multivariate Nakagami-m joint probability density function (PDF) generated from correlated Gaussian random variables is derived allowing for an arbitrary correlation matrix and different fading parameters.
Journal ArticleDOI
Full-duplex amplify-and-forward relays with optimized transmission power under imperfect transceiver electronics
TL;DR: Expressions for bounding the optimal IBO setting that maximizes the SINR at the destination are developed, considering all relevant hardware impairments and SI cancellation with I/Q imbalance compensation and demonstrated that the theoretical bound settings provide good approximations to the optimal one.
Journal ArticleDOI
Limit Theorems for Spectra of Positive Random Matrices under Dependence
TL;DR: In this article, Stein's method for the asymptotic approximation of expectations of functions of the normalized eigenvalue counting measure for high-dimensional matrices is discussed, based on a differential equation for the density of the Marchenko-Pastur law.
Journal ArticleDOI
Universal extremal statistics in a freely expanding Jepsen gas.
Ioana Bena,Satya N. Majumdar +1 more
TL;DR: It is shown that in the thermodynamic limit and at fixed time t>>1 (the so-called "growing regime"), when interactions are strongly manifest, the velocity distribution exhibits universal scaling behavior of only three possible varieties, depending on the tail of phi(V) .
