On the Minimal Length Uncertainty Relation and the Foundations of String Theory
TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss simple phenomenological implications of the minimal length uncertainty relation and then argue that the combination of the principles of quantum theory and general relativity allow for a dynamical energy-momentum space.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heterogeneous Cellular Network Models With Dependence
TL;DR: It turns out that the proposed Case 2 model is a more appropriate and accurate model for a HCN with hotspot regions than the multitier independent PPP model since the latter underestimates some key performance metrics, such as the per-user capacity and the ASE.

Symmetry Breaking for Representations of Rank One Orthogonal Groups
Toshiyuki Kobayashi,Birgit Speh +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a symmetry breaking operator for the spherical principal series representations is introduced. But symmetry breaking operators are not restricted to the principal series representation, but also to the symmetric symmetry breaking for the complementary series.
Journal ArticleDOI
Excitonic gap, phase transition, and quantum Hall effect in graphene
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors suggest that physics underlying the removal of sublattice and spin degeneracies in graphene in a strong magnetic field describes a phase transition connected with the generation of an excitonic gap.
Journal ArticleDOI
Time-dependent stochastic particle acceleration in astrophysical plasmas: exact solutions including momentum-dependent escape
TL;DR: Park and Petrosian as mentioned in this paper solved the representative Fokker-planck equation to obtain a new closed-form solution for the time-dependent Green's function describing the acceleration and escape of relativistic particles interacting with Alfven or fast-mode waves characterized by momentum diffusion coefficient D(p) ∈ pq, where p is the particle momentum and q is the power-law index of the MHD wave spectrum.
